The Children of Time

Perception: Legends and myths are little more than stories to tell to young children, only to be washed away with the passing of time. There is either the one true God – God, or Allah, or whatever you may choose to call him – or there is no God at all. Devotion goes to the passing of every day, work and relaxation, rather than to the Gods.

Reality: Myths and legends have been real since their origins, although distorted since then. Gods and Goddesses of every mythology – every previous religion – are real, walking the ways between Heaven, Earth and Hell. They lurk on every street corner, taking sides and choosing allegiances in the grand game of divinity. They are the Children of Time, ranging from Gods such as Zeus, Odin, and Ra, to Gods such as Jehovah and Buddha. Angels and demons co-exist alongside them, rarely straying from their natural worlds.

The war in Heaven over ownership of the Earth is about to begin. Gods of every house are arming themselves for the battle against their fellow Children of Time, invisible to human eyes but close enough to be felt in every human heart. The tension that hangs over the world is not solely from the preparations of the upcoming war, however, but of a far more sinister plot that lurks in the hearts of the most devious and wicked of the Children of Time.

They are sick and tired of the death and pain caused by their father, Time, and the inevitability that everything must come to an end whilst he rules. To defeat him, however, they must release his arch nemesis and eventual annihilation – Cronus, the end of everything, for everything will become like the nothing that he is if he were to be released. Yet for Cronus to be released the Pandora Spirits – Hate, Greed, and Suspicion, countered only by Love, Charity, and Truth – must be released and the Key to Cronus’ eternal chamber must be found in Hell. Even these setbacks will not deter them from their quest.

On the streets of Earth, between the buildings of Hell and in the open fields of Heaven, decisions are being made and allegiances are being formed. Despite the war that is approaching, an oncoming storm is coming quicker, and tension is heavy in the air. For the Children of Time, they must decided if it is worth the risk of releasing Cronus and freeing people from the tyranny of Time’s decaying rule, or if their father is the lesser of two evils – and any allegiances made between houses against or for this heinous plot are threatened to be broken by the war of the Gods, for dominance in Heaven and ownership of Earth…
